API response

What Brand Intelligence returns

Nine sections in one normalized response, not nine separate APIs. Turn off any section you do not need.

brand

Name, description, category, and tagline.

products

The products and services the brand offers, each with a description and URL.

audiences

Who the brand appears to be speaking to.

positioning

Value proposition, market position, and differentiators.

messaging

Key messages, themes, claims, and the phrases the brand repeats.

voice

Traits, a description, formality, technicality, and energy scores, plus do and avoid guidance.

identity

Logos, icon, colors with roles, and fonts with weights.

visual

Visual style, imagery, and interface style.

links

Website, about page, pricing, brand assets, and social profiles.

Only need logos, colors, and fonts? See the Brand Identity API. Just the logo? See the Company Logo API.

Built for AI

Brand data your models can use directly

Pass Brand Intelligence to your models and agents as context, so your customers never have to research or describe their own brand.

  • JSON for applications and structured workflows
  • Markdown for clean, direct model context

JSON is the canonical response. Markdown is rendered from the same result.

Giving an LLM or agent brand context? See the Brand Context API

Custom questions

Need something outside the standard schema? Ask for it.

The default schema stays predictable. Custom questions let you request brand intelligence specific to your application, without waiting for a new field.

  • Up to three questions per request
  • Answer types: string, boolean, number, string[], or object
  • Answers come back under custom, keyed by your names
Request
"questions": [ { "key": "buying_triggers", "question": "What situations would make someone likely to buy from this company?", "type": "string[]" } ]
Response
"custom": { "buying_triggers": [ "Work is scattered across tools and teams need a shared view of tasks, owners, deadlines, and dependencies.", "Projects are slipping, blocked, or at risk because progress and status updates are not visible in real time.", "Teams need to automate repetitive work, coordinate AI agents, or embed AI into existing workflows." ] }
Grounded in the website

More than a homepage sent to a model

OpenGraph finds the pages that matter, analyzes them together, and produces one structured answer.

01

Find the pages that matter

Starting from the URL you send, we pick the pages that describe the brand: homepage, about, products, pricing, customers, editorial, and brand assets. Careers, legal, and login pages are skipped.

02

Analyze and reconcile

Logos, colors, and fonts are read from the homepage markup and stylesheets. Products, positioning, messaging, and voice are analyzed from the text of all the selected pages together.

03

Return one normalized response

Everything lands in a single predictable schema. Ask for provenance and each field also tells you which pages it came from.

Optional provenance with include_meta shows the source pages behind every field and how each one was reached:

observedRead directly from the site, such as links and social profiles.
derivedComputed from the homepage markup and styles, such as colors and fonts.
inferredWritten by the analysis from the site content, such as positioning and voice.
Use cases

Built for products that need to understand a brand

AI content tools

Generate copy that uses the right products, messaging, audience, and voice.

Website builders

Understand visual identity, positioning, messaging, and brand style from a single URL.

Ad and creative tools

Ground generated campaigns in the brand as it actually presents itself.

Sales personalization

Know what a company sells, who it serves, and how it positions itself before the first message.

SaaS onboarding

Fill in company details and personalize the first experience from a domain.

AI agents

Give agents structured context about the company or brand they are working with.

Integration

One endpoint. Useful defaults. Customize only when you need to.

The simplest request is just a URL. Every option below is optional.

curlGET /api/1.1/brand/:url
curl "https://opengraph.io/api/1.1/brand/https%3A%2F%2Fasana.com?app_id=YOUR_API_KEY"
With options
curl -X POST "https://opengraph.io/api/1.1/brand/https%3A%2F%2Fasana.com?app_id=YOUR_API_KEY" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{ "format": "markdown", "sections": { "visual": false }, "include_meta": true }'
format
json (default) or markdown.
sections
Turn off any section you do not need, such as { "visual": false }.
questions
Up to three custom questions, answered under custom.
include_meta
Adds provenance: source pages and a basis for each field.
cache_ok
Set to false in the query string to force a fresh analysis instead of a cached result.
Example response

Same intelligence, two formats

JSON shows the structure your application reads. Markdown shows how easily the same result drops into a prompt.

FAQ

It is a single endpoint that takes a website URL and returns structured context about the brand behind it: what it is, what it sells, who it is for, how it positions itself, what it says, how it sounds, and what it looks like.
No. The API finds the pages that describe the brand, such as the homepage, about, product, pricing, and customer pages, and analyzes them together. Logos, colors, fonts, and links are read from the site markup rather than generated.
Yes. Set format to markdown and the same result comes back as clean Markdown you can pass straight into a prompt. JSON is the default and the canonical shape; the Markdown is rendered from it.
Add up to three custom questions to a request. Each has a key, a question, and an answer type of string, boolean, number, string[], or object. Answers come back under custom, keyed by the names you chose.
Set include_meta to true. The response then includes the pages that were analyzed and, for each field, its source pages and whether it was observed on the site, derived from it, or inferred.
Yes. A result is cached for seven days, so repeat requests for the same URL and sections come back quickly. Add cache_ok=false to the query string to force a fresh analysis. Requests with custom questions are always analyzed fresh.
Yes. Pass a sections object and set any section to false. Sections set to false are left out of the response.
