More than one logo file

The brand’s strongest marks on the homepage, classified

Not the first image with logo in its name. OpenGraph finds the brand’s own marks, labels what each one is, and filters out what isn’t the brand’s.

Logo files

Up to five logo files the site serves, strongest first, each labelled logo, wordmark, icon, or image (a share card, never called a logo), with a light or dark theme and a format when its URL shows them.

Inline SVG logos

Many sites draw their logo directly in the page instead of linking a file. OpenGraph returns that mark as sanitized SVG markup with scripts and outside references removed. Colors set by the page’s stylesheet may not carry over.

Site icon

The largest icon the site declares, from its favicons, touch icons, and web app manifest, returned in its own field.

Structured logo data

Built for software, not for browsing

Each logo comes with its type, plus a theme and format when they can be read, so your code can usually pick the right file without opening it.

Domain in. Logo out.

One Brand Intelligence endpoint. Use only the data you need.

Turn off every section except identity. OpenGraph reads the homepage, classifies its brand assets, and returns them. You never need to know where the company keeps its logo.

Better than scraping for logo.svg

Stop guessing where the logo lives

Give us the website. OpenGraph finds and classifies the useful brand assets for you. Social sharing cards are never called a logo; when one is kept it is labelled image.

Where OpenGraph looks

  • The logo the site declares in its structured data
  • Logo metadata in the page head
  • Logo images in the site header and home link
  • Inline SVG logos in the home link or site header
  • The Safari pinned tab icon, a vector of the brand mark
  • Favicons, touch icons, and web app manifest icons

What it leaves out

  • Customer and partner logo walls
  • Social network icons
  • Interface icons such as arrows, menus, and checkmarks

FAQ

No. It is the Brand Intelligence endpoint with every section except identity turned off. A request for identity alone reads just the homepage, its stylesheets, and its app manifest, and returns logos, the inline SVG logo, the site icon, colors, and fonts.
When the mark sits in the home link or a header element labelled as the logo, it usually comes back in logo_svg as sanitized SVG markup. It is rebuilt from an allowlist of shapes and attributes, so scripts, event handlers, and references outside the logo are removed. Show it in an img tag as a data URL. Colors set by the page’s stylesheet may not carry over.
Whatever the site serves: SVG, PNG, WebP, ICO, and others. Each logo carries its format when the file name shows it, and logo_svg is always SVG.
A logo declared in structured data or in the home link ranks near the top, and an image named for the brand is kept. Customer logo walls, partner grids, social icons, and interface icons are detected from the page markup and filtered out.
Each logo file is labelled light or dark when its URL, class, or alt text says so, for example a file named for white. logo_svg is labelled from its own fill colors: light means a light mark, made for dark backgrounds. Where nothing indicates a theme, it is null.
If no logo file is found, logos falls back to the site’s social sharing image, labelled image, while logo_svg may still hold a logo drawn inline. With no sharing image, logos is empty. The site icon is returned whenever the site declares one.
