Full-resolution screenshots rendered by a real Chromium browser. Capture the full page or just the visible viewport, in JPEG, PNG, or WebP.

Any Device Viewport

Test desktop (1920×1080), laptop (1366×768), tablet (1024×768), and mobile (375×812) in one click — no physical devices required.

Dark Mode & Clean Results

FAQ

What is the Website Screenshot Tool?

The Website Screenshot Tool lets you capture high-quality screenshots of any publicly accessible website. Enter a URL, pick your viewport and options, and receive a ready-to-use image in seconds — no signup required for your first screenshot.

What screen sizes and viewports are available?

Choose from four viewport presets:

  • Large (1920×1080) — widescreen desktop
  • Medium (1366×768) — standard laptop
  • Small (1024×768) — tablet / small laptop
  • Mobile (375×812) — smartphone portrait

What image formats can I download?

You can capture screenshots in JPEG (smallest file size), PNG (lossless, best for transparency), or WebP (modern format, excellent quality-to-size ratio). JPEG is selected by default.

What does the "Full Page" option do?

When enabled, the tool scrolls through the entire page and stitches together a single tall image. When disabled, only the visible viewport area is captured — like pressing Print Screen on your browser.

What does "Dark Mode" do?

Dark Mode instructs the headless browser to emulate the prefers-color-scheme: dark media feature before taking the screenshot. Websites that support system-level dark mode will render their dark theme.

What does "Block Cookie Banners" do?

This option hides the most common cookie consent popups and GDPR banners before the screenshot is captured, resulting in a cleaner image that shows the actual page content.

How does image quality work?

Quality controls JPEG/WebP compression:

  • High (80) — sharpest image, larger file
  • Medium (60) — good balance
  • Low (40) — smaller file, some compression artifacts
  • Very Low (20) — smallest file size

PNG ignores quality since it is lossless.

Are there any limitations on which websites I can screenshot?

Any publicly accessible URL works. Sites that require authentication will show the logged-out public view. Some heavily bot-protected sites may block the headless browser.

How long are screenshots stored?

Screenshots are cached for 24 hours. Download the image immediately if you need it long-term.

Can I use screenshots for commercial purposes?

Our tool generates the screenshots, but the content belongs to the respective website owners. Always ensure you have the appropriate rights before using screenshots commercially.
